Fighter-
Small maneuverable aircraft. Fighters have a limited time in combat. Attacking they are only allowed 2 cycles of combat. In defensive
combat they are allowed 3 cycles. Fighters are always allowed to target specific
units. Fighters are allowed to intercept strategic bombing raids. When attacking bombers on SBRs they defend at 4. When escorting
bombers fighters attack at 3. The fighter is permitted to choose enemy reserve
units as casualties when attacking.

Bomber-
large aircraft which remains aloft longer than fighters. Bombers may conduct
Precision Strategic Bombing Raids. During the production phase of an enemy unused
bombers may attack units being produced. Each bomber rolls one die. A roll of 5 or less is a hit and the attacking player chooses which unit is lost. Non-Precision Bombing is conducted during the normal phase of combat and a bomber rolls one die. The roll is divided by two and the attacked player returns that many IPCs to the back. Bombers are susceptible to defending fighters and anti-aircraft.
Lost bombers do not get to roll any die. Attacking bombers are limited
to 3 cycles of combat. Defending bombers are limited to 4 cycles. Bombers are permitted to choose enemy reserves as casualties when attacking.
